I've been making web pages since 19.6 kbps was considered a respectable connection speed and accessing the “information super highway” involved enduring a minute of modem squeals. Like much of the web at the time, those early works of mine touted “geocities” as their domain name and tended to be laden with as many animated gifs as I could find. We've all got to start somewhere. The web has come a long way since then and, thankfully, so have I.
Being a designer is about more than producing slick-looking layouts. It’s about understanding the cultural atmosphere of the audience as well as the technological contexts of the medium. When it comes to the web, there are few things I love geeking out to more than sitting down with a great design concept and figuring out how to deliver it in clean, concise markup according to the latest web standards.
Originally from Los Angeles, I am currently living in Tottori, Japan, and available for freelance web, print, or identity design work. If you’d like to contact me, please shoot me an email or, if you’re local, give me a call.
