Invitations, programs, and save the dates for my own wedding. This remains one of my favorite projects. The save the dates take a more light-hearted approach to the bird motif of the invitation suite, as I wanted something people would enjoy pinning to their fridge.

JDate - Mobile

Mobile-optimized version of JDate utilizing the jQuery Mobile framework. Owned the front-end design and development (HTML/CSS/JS), taking initial wireframes product requirements and transforming them into high-fidelity mocks to best demonstrate interaction and UX, and then worked closely with engineers for final production site.

JPicks

From the makers of JDate, JPicks is a daily-deal-style coupon site. I was the primary designer and client-side developer for this project, handling the site, emails, social media integration, and marketing.

Schmooz-A-Palooza
Spark Networks
Microsite to advertise an annual party sponsred by JDate. While the 2009 design had a more traditional club feel, in 2010 the party moved to the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. To emphasize that and reflect the hotel's past the newer design mixes modern elements with Art Deco retro chic.

Hi! I'm Jon Jandoc, a Los Angeles-based web designer and front-end developer. I strive to create web sites that offer both strong visual appeal and a positive user experience, while utilizing semantic, standards compliant code and exploring the latest in web technology and design trends.
Put plainly, I like making things for the web that look good and are easy to use.
I work full-time as a UI designer for Spark Networks, owners of various niche online personals sites including JDate.com, JPicks.com, Spark.com, and ChristianMingle.com, among others. I handle the design and development for new site features and improvements, email campaigns, marketing, print design, and whatever else gets thrown at me.
